I was born on the 25th of September 1913 in the capital of Romania – Bucharest. In 1934 I began my career as a singer at the Theatre ”Cărăbuș” in Bucharest. In 1937 were launched my first records. In 1938 I had my debute at the Radio Company. In 1958 there were recorded at the Romanian Electrecord Company a lot of Romanian folk-songs. I played in many plays and in many Romanian movies. I passed away on the 22 of June 1963. I dedicated my whole life to the Romanian people and I endeavour to make known the beautiful Romanian folk music all over the Europe…

Eu m-am născut la 25 septembrie 1913 în capitala României – București. În anul 1934 mi-am început cariera artistică la Teatrul Cărăbuș din București, ca și cântăreață. În anul 1937 am înregistrat primul meu disc. În anul 1938 am debutat la Compania de Radio. În anul 1958, la Compania Electrecord mi s-au înregistrat câteva cântece populare. Eu am jucat și în multe filme românești. Am trecut dincolo la 22 iunie 1963. Mi-am dedicat întreaga viață poporului român și am făcut cunoscută frumoasa muzică românească în toată Europa…

Romanian ruler Alexandru Ioan Cuza
I lived between 1820 and 1873. I was ruler of Moldavia and of Romania. In 1848 I participated of revolutionary movement in Moldavia and in 1859 I was as ruler of Moldavia –on 5th January and in the same year same month, I was also chosen ruler of the Romanian country. Thus the countries–Moldavia and Romania –became one country. In 1862 the modern Romanian state was born and Bucharest became the new capital of new state. In 1866 I was forced to abdicate. My reforms:
- the monasteries estates were taken
- the fiscal reform
- the agricultural reform
- in 1865 was built the first railway in Romania between Bucharest and Giurgiu
I spent the rest of my life-after abdication in exile in Paris, Viene and Wiesbaden. The first ruler of the United Principalities and of the national state Romania.

Am trăit între anii 1820 și 1873. Am fost domnitorul Moldovei și al României.În 1848, am participat la mișcarea revoluționară din Moldova și în anul 1859 am fost ales domnitor al Moldovei în 5 ianuarie și în același an la 24 ianuarie am fost ales și domnitor al Țării Românești, astfel înfăptuindu-se unirea celor două principate românești. În 1862, s-a format statul Român modern cu capitala la București. În 1866 am fost obligat să abdic. Reformele mele:
- secularizarea averilor mănăstirești
- reforma fiscală
- reforma agrară
- 1865-prima linie de cale ferată București Giurgiu.
Restul vieții l-am petrecut în exil la Paris, Viena și Wiesbaden. Am fost primul domnitor al Principatelor Unite și al statului național România.
Unirea e singura stare politică ce putea să asigure viitorul nostru și să ne permită a da țării organizarea ce o aștepta de atât de mult timp.

I saw the light of day the first time in the year 1875 in Eastwell, Kent. I died in the year 1938, the death found my in Pelişor Castle, Sinaia.
I was a fascinating person with my own lifestyle. We have collected and created artistic works decorating the buildings we lived in, being a promoter of the Art Nouveau. For literary work and support for the developement culture and the arts, I was the first female correspondent member of the French Academy of Fine Arts in 1918.
During the First Word War, I accompanied my husband to refuge in Moldova, acting as a charity sister in military hospitals, wich made me called „the mother of the wounded”. We have constantly pursued the strengthening of the ties between Romania and UK, proving diplomatic qualities in defending the interests of Romania.
I was the first Queen to appear on the cover of Time Magazine in 1924. After the coronation, I made external visits in which I made known the culture of the Romanian people, which I loved and respected.
I was the Queen of Romania and King Ferdinand`s closest advisor. In 1918, I became involved in the gathering of three Romanian countries at Alba Iulia.
At the external level, I defended Romania`s interests being a real ambassador of the country. I supported in the First Word War Romania`s intrusion into war on the side of the Antanta. During the Paris Peace Conference, I participated in a diplomatic campaign for the international recognition of the Romanian state reunified having meetings with the British sovereign, President Wilson of the USA, President of France, G. Clemenceau and leading representative of the European media.
No one is judged correctly during the life. Only after death is mentioned or forgotten. So, because we`re going to die anyway, let`s just die with our heads up, not frightening our souls.

Am văzut lumina zilei pentru prima oară în 1875 în Eastwell, Kent. Am murit în 1938, moartea m-a găsit în Castelul Pelişor, Sinaia.
Am fost o persoană fascinantă, cu un stil de viaţă propriu. Am colecţionat şi creat lucrări artistice, am decorat clădirile în care am locuit, fiind o promotoare a curentului Art Nouveau. Pentru activitatea literară şi sprijinul acordat dezvoltării culturii şi artelor, am fost prima femeie membru corespondent al Academiei Franceze de Arte Frumoase, în 1918.
În timpul Primului Război Mondial, mi-am însoţit soţul în refugiu în Moldova, activând ca soră de caritate în spitalele militare, ceea ce a făcut să fiu numită „ mama răniţilor”. Am urmărit constant întărirea legăturilor dintre România şi Marea Britanie, dovedind calităţi diplomatice în apărarea intereselor României.
Am fost prima regină care a apărut pe coperta revistei Time Magazin în 1924. După încoronare, am făcut vizite externe, în care am făcut cunoscută cultura poporului român, pe care l-am iubit şi respectat.
Am fost Regina României şi sfătuitorul cel mai apropiat al Regelui Ferdinand. În 1918, m-am implicat în unirea celor trei ţări române la Alba Iulia.
Pe plan extern, am apărat interesele României, fiind un adevărat ambasador al ţării. Am susţinut în Primul Război Mondial intrarea României în război de partea Antantei. În perioada Conferinţei de pace de la Paris, am participat la o campanie diplomatică pentru recunoaşterea internaţională a României Mari, având întâlniri cu suveranul englez, prreşedintele Wilson al Statelor Unite, preşedintele Franţei, G Clemenceau şi reprezentanţi ai mediei europene.
Nimeni nu e judecat pe drept cât trăieşte. Abia după moarte este pomenit sau dat uitării. Deci, pentru că oricum vom muri, mai bine să murim cu capul sus, fără să ne mânjim suflete.

I was born on September 7, 1965 in Adjud, Romania. I am an opera singer-soprano, and I performed on the wellknown scenes of the world: New York’s Metropolitan Opera, London’s Royal Opera House, the Vienna State Opera, Milan’s La Scala etc. I was acclaimed by important political people, as the president Barack Obama, the president Dmitri Medvedev and Queen Elisabeth II.

Sunt cântăreață de operă-soprană, și am cântat pe marile scene ale lumii: Metropolitan Opera din New York, Royal Opera House din Londra, Opera de Stat din Viena, Scala din Milano etc. Am fost aclamată de oameni politici importanți, cum ar fi președintele Barack Obama, președintele Dmitri Medvedev și Regina Elisabeta a II-a.
